The Transformation of St. Pancras
Nigel Lowey
Bromley House Library, Angel Row, Nottingham NG1 6HL
10/05/25 - 11:00
We welcome back Nigel Lowey, with this fascinating, engaging and ever popular talk on the gothic behemoth that is St. Pancras Station from its design, build and later renovation.
Nigel says "This talk is for anyone with an interest in history, world-class architecture, elegant engineering, or a great story; it covers the incredible changes of mid-Victorian Britain and describes how the fantastic cathedral-like station came to be built, and how the long-neglected buildings underwent a breathtaking transformation. It's not about trains!"
