Dr. Cynthia Johnson is writing and researching the biography of Dorothy Whipple. At this talk she will illuminate key points of Whipple’s publishing history, including her life and time in Nottingham. Most of her novels were written whilst she lived in the city.

In 2025 Bromley House Library will be spotlighting the work of Dorothy Whipple and working with Blackburn Central Library and other archive resources to curate an exhibition about the author, her life and work.
